Authors of the accepted abstracts are requested to submit the final paper by the 16th of August 2024. This page will provide help and information to prepare and upload your final full paper for the 2024 IEEE Workshop on Wide Bandgap Power Devices and Applications in Europe (WiPDA-Europe). If you require a visa to attend the Workshop in Cardiff, please contact us at admin@wipda-europe.org. We can issue visa letters to facilitate your application, but please note that visa letters can only be issued once the registration fee is paid in full.
Step 1 – Prepare Your Final Paper
The paper must be written in English using the available LaTeX or Microsoft Word templates for A4 format. Formatting may not be altered.

- A minimum of 4 pages is required per paper in standard IEEE format.
- The maximum number of pages is 6, including references.
- This version shall include the authors’ names and affiliations.
Step 2 – Check Your Final Paper
- Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.
- Use PDF eXpress to verify the PDF file of the paper for IEEE-compliance before submission.
- After presentation at the workshop, accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. Papers that are not IEEE-compliant will not be included in the proceedings nor published.
Creating your PDF eXpress Account
Log into https://ieee-pdf-express.org
First-time users should do the following:
- Select the New Users – Click Here link.
- Enter the following:
- 62087X for the Conference ID
- your email address
- a password
- Continue to enter information as prompted.
An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.
Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

Access the Publications Support Center for IEEE PDF eXpress.

Step 3 – Submit Your Camera Ready Paper and IEEE Copyright Form
- Log In to Microsoft CMT:
- Access your account at Microsoft CMT (https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com). Once logged in, navigate to the Author Console where you will find options to “Create Camera Ready Submission” and “Submit IEEE Copyright Form” as shown below.

- Submit Your Camera Ready Paper:
- Follow the instructions provided on the Microsoft CMT site to submit the final version of your paper. Make sure that the PDF version of your paper has been verified by PDF eXpress as part of Step 2.
- Complete the IEEE Copyright Form:
- Through the ‘Submit IEEE Copyright Form’ option, visit the IEEE Copyright Web Site to fill out and submit the IEEE Copyright Form.
- Upon completion, there will be an option to download a PDF copy of the completed form. Ensure you download and save this for your records.
- Submit the Copyright Form in Microsoft CMT:
- Return to the Author Console on Microsoft CMT and upload the PDF copy of the completed IEEE Copyright Form as part of your submission.
- Final Check:
- Double-check that all parts of your submission are complete and that you have retained copies of all documents for your records. Make sure all submissions are confirmed within the system before exiting.
By following these steps, you can complete the submission process for your Camera Ready Paper and IEEE Copyright Form.
Please note: If you do not complete a publication agreement with IEEE by means of signing and submitting an IEEE Copyright Form, your paper cannot be published by IEEE.
The final submitted paper will be checked for plagiarism
Step 4 – Register for the workshop
For presenting a paper at the workshop, the paper has to be linked to a full registration. Note that only three types of registration (Standard, IEEE Member, IEEE and PELS Member) qualify for registering a paper.
After presentation at the workshop, accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. Papers that are not IEEE-compliant will not be included in the proceedings nor published.
